About JAI Cargo
JAI’s Domestic Cargo Terminal commenced operations in August 2023 and has rapidly established itself as a key hub for domestic cargo movement in North India. It has been developed to provide efficient and secure cargo handling for domestic air freight. With modern infrastructure and technology-driven processes, the terminal ensures smooth acceptance, segregation, storage, and dispatch of cargo for multiple airlines.
Continuous improvements in infrastructure, deployment of skilled manpower, and adherence to stringent security and regulatory standards have strengthened operational efficiency.

Notes
- Free period for outbound domestic cargo is 12 hours for shipper and airlines at SHA.
- Human remains and related consignments are exempt from handling and demurrage charges.
- Forklift charges are included in domestic cargo handling charges.
- Special cargo includes cold storage, live animals, hazardous goods, and valuables.
- Charges apply on higher gross weight or chargeable weight; misdeclared weights billed on actuals.
- Mis-declaration penalties: 2–5% deviation = 2x charges; >5% deviation = 5x charges; no deviation allowed for VAL cargo.
- XBIS usage charges vary by FY (₹1.00–₹1.21/kg) with minimum AWB charges; ETD checks exempt for random scans.
- Minimum charges rounded to nearest rupee.
- Bills rounded up to nearest higher rupee.
- GST applicable as per GoI rates.
- Miscellaneous service charges ₹2.00–₹2.42/kg depending on FY.

- Charges apply on higher gross weight or chargeable weight; misdeclared weights billed on actuals.
- Valuable cargo includes gold bars, silver bars, and foreign currency.
- Minimum charges rounded to nearest rupee.
- Bills rounded up to nearest higher rupee.
- GST applicable as per GoI rates.
- Miscellaneous service charges ₹2.00–₹2.42/kg depending on FY.
