DigiYatra is an initiative by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and airport stakeholders. It allows digital processing of passengers at an airport across various touchpoints using facial biometrics. This technology provides Biometric Enabled Seamless Travel (BEST) experience based on facial verification.

The DigiYatra App by the Digi Yatra Foundation is currently available on the Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS).

All domestic passengers can use the seamless travel experience provided by DigiYatra.

DigiYatra speeds up the passenger journey from airport entry to boarding using facial biometrics. Passengers can simply link their travel details and ID in advance, and a quick face scan gets them from entry to boarding faster and with less hassle.

To register on the Digi Yatra application, please follow these steps:

1. Passengers have to go to the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and download the DigiYatra app.

2. Passengers can register using their phone number with the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to their phone.

3. Passengers need to link their Aadhaar credentials either with Aadhaar or using DigiLocker.

4. If passengers have not already registered on DigiLocker with your Aadhaar ID, they must complete registering before proceeding.

5. Passengers need to take a selfie and validate it with their Aadhaar ID.

6. Before their flight, passengers can scan their boarding pass or upload it as an image or PDF.

7. After scanning, passengers need to provide consent to share their credentials and boarding pass data with Jaipur International Airport Ltd (JIAL) for confirmation.

By following these steps, passengers will be successfully registered on the DigiYatra platform.

Upon arriving at the airport, please follow these steps:

1. Enter the terminal through the DigiYatra gate once validated.

2. Have the boarding pass ready for uploading.

3. Look into the biometric system.

4. Once the system validates the passenger’s information, they will be granted entry into the airport.

Yes, passengers who have not pre-registered on the DigiYatra app can register at Gate 2, T2, at the registration kiosk and avail the benefits of DigiYatra on the day of travel.

Once passengers arrive at the security check touch point, they will have to use the Biometric System (face pod). The system will validate their travel itinerary. After validation, they will be allowed to proceed for security clearance before boarding the aircraft.

Digi Buddies are available at various touchpoints to assist passengers. The Digi Buddies wear reflective jackets with “Digi Buddy” printed on them.

Passengers can avail of a seamless travel experience via DigiYatra only if they are travelling on a domestic flight from Terminal 2, JAI.

An airport Digi Buddy will assist passengers throughout their journey at the airport. The on-ground team will assist if biometric verification fails. In case of an emergency, passengers may call 022 6685 1010.

No, DigiYatra is currently available only for departing passengers at Terminal 2 of JAI However, DigiYatra is developing functionalities that will allow passengers to use DigiYatra benefits at the arrival in the future.
